It's Been Too Long...

I apologize. I have no good excuse for being such a stranger. A lot of exciting things have been happening here in Toronto and I wanted to share some of them with you. Most notably, I have been heavily involved in the building and launching of the world's premiere women's hockey league - the Canadian Women's Hockey League. The league features National team players from Canada & USA, but the majority of us are former NCAA players who are holding down full-time jobs and playing for the 'love of the game'. This is a picture of me playing for my new team - the Burlington Barracudas...I know, not the most menacing name, but it works. For more information about the CWHL, its mission, its players and teams, check out: www.cwhl.ca.

A lot of new and exciting things are happening with The Young Athlete. This fall, I have been traveling around Ontario teaching different groups, teams, coaches and athletes about the importance of proper athletic development. Each and every audience has been terrific - I feed off their energy and passion and hope that they enjoy the sessions as much as I do.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, but I have to pace myself. If I am going to post more than once every 6 months, I need to make sure I have some material left.

Until next time,

Kim
